Eudora is a standalone email program that works with any ISP that uses standard Internet email protocols. With tons of features for almost every situation, this program is not for the beginner. The interface is good, looks better than that of outlook express and the like, and gives the user the feeling of being in control. Eudora PRO has three modes of operation, relating to how the program is paid for. Light mode, in which the program is free but with a reduced set of functions, sponsered mode, in which the program is paid for by sponsors showing the user ads. You can also choose to buy the software to get all the functions without any ads.

IncrediMail

Incredimail appears to be sprung from the looks and feel of outlook express, with only some minor changes. The interface looks exactly like that of it's origin, but has a much nicer looking skin, with a clock/status windows at the upper right. One very nice feature of this program is it's ability to autodetect the server names for your mail accounts, making installation a breeze. Definately a must if you're an outlook express user.

Pegasus Mail, is one of the better free email clients on the market, with support for both Novell Netware and POP3/IMAP. The interface is straight forward, to the point, and easy to set up. Can be used by a single or multiple users, in singleuser or workgroup configuration selected during installation. In the workgroup configuration, it is not nescessary to close the program to switch users, while it is in single user mode. In all a very good email client that doesn't take up too many of your computers precious ressources.
